A tour of Brazil with SketchUp

Seven content creators from around Brazil have modeled architecture and interior design projects that are unmistakable to the regions where they live.

To celebrate the diversity of Brazilian architecture and interior design, SketchUp has launched the "A Tour of Brazil with SketchUp" campaign. Seven incredible content creators from around the country have made 3D models of striking architectural or interior projects from their regions. Read on to get to know them and see the creative videos that have already featured in the campaign.

Fabio Coutinho - Curitiba, PR

Fabio Coutinho is one of SketchUp's Ambassadors in Brazil, creator of the Dynamic Blocks Portal and one of the country's leading experts in dynamic components for SketchUp. Watch the video to see how Fabio used dynamic components to quickly create a lush 3D model of Curitiba's Botanical Garden.

Flávio Santos - Salto, SP

Flávio Santos is a commercial façade designer and founder of the 3D Communication course, which already has more than 2,000 students. Flávio helps visual communication companies improve their project presentations using SketchUp. Watch the video to see how he modeled the impressive metal frame of the Concha Acústica in Salto.

Gabriela Feral - Belo Horizonte, MG

Gabriela is a 3D artist and interior designer. Founder and teacher of the Modeling Uncomplicated course, with over 9500 students, Gabriela teaches modeling and rendering to generate efficient visual communications. Watch the video to learn about the tools she used to model the famous Igrejinha da Pampulha.

Hugo Gonzales - Maringá, PR

Hugo Gonzales, an interior designer since 2010, has a passion for custom design and planned joinery and marbling. In 2020, he began sharing his knowledge and experience through YouTube, sharing tips, techniques and insights in live broadcasts about architectural visualization and interior design using SketchUp, Enscape and V-Ray. Watch the video to see how Hugo modeled the beautiful Maringá Cathedral and learn how you can start your own model.

Kamila Lopes - Goiânia, GO

Kamila Lopes, creator of the Projeto Expert methodology, provides training on modeling and detailing interior design projects using SketchUp and LayOut. An interior design graduate since 2009 and a post-graduate student in Neuroarchitecture, Kamila has already developed projects in collaboration with major offices in Goiânia and was present at 3D Basecamp, a conference for SketchUp users, with a lecture on executive detailing and conceptual presentations using LayOut. Mari Baroli - Rio de Janeiro, RJ

The first SketchUp Ambassador in Brazil, architect and urban planner Mariana Oliveira is the founder of Studio Baroli. Mari has worked in offices such as André Piva, Miguel Pinto Guimarães and Feu Arquitetura and was a teacher at the Istituto Europeo Di Design (IED) in Rio de Janeiro. Today, Mari offers online courses on how to work efficiently with LayOut to create professional technical drawings, and how to impress clients with realistic renders using V-Ray. Watch the video where she combines several SketchUp tools to model the famous Arcos da Lapa in Rio de Janeiro.

Tamires Rodrigues - Minas Gerais

Tamires is an architect specializing in interiors and has over 11 years' experience in the field. She shares her knowledge through the Powerful Presentation Guide, a training where she teaches a faster, more efficient and accurate workflow through 3D modeling, rendering and detailing with the SketchUp product ecosystem. Watch the video to be inspired by how Tamires brought the regionality of Minas Gerais to the development of a 3D interior project:

  • 3D model an architectural project for your city/state with SketchUp. Use your creativity! You can model a historic building, a famous monument or even highlight a project of your own that has a regional touch.

  • Create a video showing this project. Use your own style and tell about your creative process in the video. Show some parts of the modeling work and add photos or videos of you going to the site. If it's an authorial project, ask your client's permission and also include photos and videos of the finished work.

  • Post the video on Instagram! In the description of the post, tag @sketchup_official and use the hashtags #BuildYourAnything and #DesafioSketchUp - only then will we be able to find your post.
