
Higher education students from over 65 countries registered for the competition, 42 collections were created in the Google 3D Warehouse, and 77 bridges were modeled from all over the world. The types of bridges range from historical to pedestrian, rail and highway - and they were all certainly impressive.

Ninety-three teams from dozens of countries entered by modeling their school campus buildings in Google SketchUp, geo-referencing them in Google Earth and submitting them by uploading their models to the Google 3D Warehouse Competition Collection.
Twenty-nine winning students from five different countries won prizes that included an Apple iPod Touch, a Nintendo Wii Console, and a Google t-shirt and hat.

In 2007 the very first SketchUp competition was held, with
eighty-one teams from schools in the United States entering over four thousand
models. The winners flew to our
Googleplex for three days of workshops, good food, baseball, and fun.
